Frank C. Ross

Frank C. Ross, 86, of Ellsworth died at 1:30am on Sunday June 25, 2006 at HRC Manor Care in McMurray following a brief illness.
He was born January 20, 1920 in Ellsworth a son of the late Antonio and Gasperina DeFranco Rossi.
Mr. Ross was a 1939 Graduate of Ellsworth High School and was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant.
He had been employed by Bethlehem Mines Corp. as an electrician in the Wilson Shop in Ellsworth for 42 1/2 years before retiring in 1982.
Mr. Ross was a lifetime member of the Ave Maria Roman Catholic Parish of Bentleyville and also a member of the Bentleyville Knights of Columbus and the United Mine Workers of America.
He enjoyed gardening and was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed using those skills to help family and friends.
On August 4, 1941 he married his beloved wife Helen R. Ross who survives.
Also surviving is his daughter, Janet Ross Davis and her husband James of McMurray, a grandson, Jonathan Ross Davis and his wife Lisa of Princeton, N.J., two brothers, Dominick Ross of Cleveland, OH., Joseph Ross of Ellsworth, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents are, one daughter, Deborah Ann Ross who died June 1978, two brothers, Iris Ross and Camille "Red" Ross, and on sister Rose Nero.
Friends will be received from 2-4pm and 7-9pm Tuesday in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main St. Bentleyville where prayers will be said at 9:30am on Wednesday June 28, 2006 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated at 10:00am in the Ave Maria Roman Catholic Church in Bentleyville. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Twp. The Bentleyville Knights of Columbus will conduct services at 7:00pm on Tuesday in the Funeral Home.
