Zelda J. Lowden

Zelda J. Lowden, 77, of Denbo, PA passed away on October 19, 2026, in the Uniontown Hospital.

Zelda was born on April 23, 1949, in Brownsville, a daughter of the late Ralph and Alverta Edwards Rutherford. She graduated from the Brownsville High School and was later a homemaker for her family. She also worked as a caregiver for various personal care homes.

She enjoyed playing bingo and attending cash bashes. Her family gatherings and grandchildren were very important to her.

Surviving are children William Lowden (Karen), Rachael Staggers, and Thomas Lowden; 3 grandchildren Renee Deuesenberry, William Staggers (Samantha), and Tamera Lowden; great grandchildren Logan Bryan, Nicholas Deuesenberry, Brayden Staggers, Nico Harris, and Farrah Maust; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are husband William Lowden, grandchildren Stephanie and Sheldon Lowden; siblings Peggy Cowell, Ruth Frazier, Elizabeth Phillips, Irene Prato, Harry Rutherford, and her twin sister Velda Brown.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday November 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Denbo Vesta Six Firehall 415 Low Hill Rd. Lowhill, PA. Arrangements are under the direction of the Greenlee’s Fredericktown Funeral Home Ltd. 42 Bank St. Fredericktown, PA.
