William R. Kooser Jr., 86 of Scenery Hill, PA passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 in The Greenery Specialty Care, Canonsburg, PA.

He was born November 2, 1936 in Brier Hill, PA a son of the late William R. and Pauline Laughrey Kooser Sr.

William was a 1954 graduate of Redstone High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. For his service he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.

He was previously employed as a produce manager at Dell-Farm in Charleroi, PA and then at Penn Birmingham, Bolt Co. in Scenery Hill, PA for 15 years, retiring in 1985.

Mr. Kooser was a longtime member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and a member of Amalgamated Food Workers Union.

He enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially football and baseball, music and gardening.

On August 18, 1962 he married Dolores "Dolly" Saniga Kooser who died April 4, 2016.

Surviving are a son William J. Kooser (Diane) of Bentleyville, PA; three siblings, Kenneth Kooser (Jo) of CA,  Donald Kooser, and Beverly Pierce, both of Cleveland, OH; several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are six siblings, Robert, Pam, James, and Larry Kooser, Phyllis Keres, and Debbie Pierce.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11 AM in the St. Katharine Drexel Parish Bentleyville Campus with Rev. Edward Yuhas officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela, PA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 126 Church St. Bentleyville, PA 15314.
