Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that our family mourns the passing of our beloved father and husband William "Bill" Allan Evans. Bill, 77, peacefully transitioned at his home in West Brownsville on May 16, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born in Washington on January 13,1949, Bill was raised in Southwestern Pennsylvania by William Evans Sr. and Elmay Evans McVehil. Bill was a renaissance man, excelling in art and music, and interested in the mechanics of how things work.

Bill was a proud Navy veteran, recognized as a skilled pilot during the Vietnam War, frequently flying rescue missions and anti-submarine reconnaissance. He met his wife of 44 years, Bernadette Evans, in the state of California.

After a successful career in business management, he became a professional artist, using his entrepreneurial spirit to start his own incorporated business. He will be most remembered for his sense of humor, and the joy he felt when making others laugh. Bill is preceded in death by daughter Shellisha Evans.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadette Evans, and his children, Clinton Evans, Tiffany Evans, Kirsten Evans, and Alexis Evans. His family is presently constructing a tranquil memorial garden in his honor on their property.

At his request a memorial service will be held at a later date to-be-determined.

To honor William's love of creating through nature, the family warmly welcomes memorial tributes in place of flowers. Contributions to William's memorial garden, in the form of plantings or donation gifts, are deeply appreciated. Contributions can be sent to Bernadette Evans at 120 Driftwood Rd. Brownsville, PA 15417 or venmo @Bernadette-evans-10
