Virginia A. Hess, 93 of Beallsville, PA passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026 in UPMC Washington Hospital.

She was born September 24, 1932 in Deemston Borough, PA a daughter of the late John S. and Etta McCullough Naylor.

Virginia was a 1950 graduate of Ellsworth High School and also attended Penn Commercial.

She was formerly employed as a secretary with Beatty Trucking in Washington, PA

and was also a newspaper carrier for the Observer Reporter for 33 years.

Time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was most enjoyable to her.

Surviving are three children, Kent Hess (Valerie) of Centerville, PA; Keith Hess (Bonnie) of Beallsville, PA and Kirk Hess of Centerville, PA; six grandchildren, Rhiannon Heckler, Kacey VanBibber, Kent Hess Jr., Robert Hess, Brandon Hess and Joren Hess; eleven great grandchildren; two nephews.

Deceased are her lifelong companion Calvin Stewart who died in 2002 and a brother, Virgil Naylor.

Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA where Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 27, 2026 at 11 AM with Pastor Brian Carroll officiating.
