Thomas Pelkey, 82 of Fredericktown, PA passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023 in Mon Valley Hospital.

He was born March 9, 1940 in Vestaburg, PA a son of the late Clarence and Kathryn Perry Pelkey.

Thomas attended Beth Joint Schools.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1961 to 1967. For his service he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Expert Rifle M-14 and Marksman 45 Cal. Pistol.

He was employed as a coal miner for many years. He attended electrical school and then became an employee of All Clad in Canonsburg.

On August 15, 1969 he married Lynda Zec Pelkey who died April 15, 2021. They celebrated 51 years of marriage.

Tom loved working with and helping his beautiful wife in her ceramics shop, Lynda's Ceramics in Fredericktown. He was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed taking care of his puppy "Pretty".

Surviving are his sister Sheila Keys of VA; daughter in law Barb White of Fredericktown, PA; granddaughter Heather Sloan of Beaver, PA; two nephews Mike Sosnak and Patrick Sosnak.

Deceased are four brothers, Clarence, Frank, Ronald, and William Pelkey; four sisters, Dolores Landgraf, Jacquelyn Sosnak, Sandra Pelkey and Berniece Pelkey.

All Funeral Services were private.
