Thomas "Tom" Lee, 82 of Ellsworth, PA passed away on Saturday August 23, 2025, in his home surrounded by family.
Tom was born in Washington, PA on January 17, 1943, and was the son of the late Mike and Victoria Kopelcheck Lee. He graduated from the Ellsworth High School in 1960 and in 1961 was enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict serving until 1965.
Following the service, he was employed as an underground coal miner for the Bethlehem Mines Corp. as well as the Ellsworth Mine # 51 for a total of 22 years. He also worked at Joy Manufacturing in Houston, PA for 12 years. Tom was known for being a hard worker and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and gardening.
He was a member of the Independent Club in Bentleyville and the Bentleyville American Legion Post 165.
On December 26, 1972, he married his wife Loretta Peretti Lee who survives. They celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two children Alyssa Storey (John) of Hobe Sound, FL; and Michael Lee (Heidi) of Ellsworth, PA; two sisters Carol Jarmin of Miami Springs, FL; and Victoria Silbaugh (Howard) of Coal Center, PA.
Preceding him in death is his brother George Lee.
Funeral Arrangements were private and under the direction of the Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home 619 Main St. Bentleyville, PA. Interment took place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. An online guestbook is available at www.GreenleeFuneralHome.com
