Sydnie D. Brandt, 81, of Allegheny Township, died Tuesday, April 22, 2025. She was born December 1, 1943, in Washington, to the late Frank and Velia Zarak DiNardo, and had been a resident of Allegheny Township for over 50 years. Mrs. Brandt was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell. She received her bachelor's degree from California State of Pennsylvania and her Master's degree in Audiology from the University of Pittsburgh. She worked as a speech therapist for Burrell School District. She enjoyed golfing, sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an exceptional cook and baker. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Lynsey Ellen (Dr. Gregory) Hanket of Glen Mills; two grandchildren, Xavier and Annalise Hanket; and sister, Patricia (Jack) Smaroff of Eighty Four. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Brandt. Friends will be received from 10 until the time of a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, n the narthex of St. Margaret Mary Church, 3055 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell.
