Obituary

Sheila J. Stroup 69 of Merrittstown, PA passed away Saturday May, 18 2024 in Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born October 9, 1954 in Brownsville, PA a daughter of the late James and Mary Elizabeth Crawford Parks.

Sheila was a 1972 graduate of Brownsville High School and earned an associate degree in business.

She was employed  as a Medical Receptionist at Uniontown Pain Management for over 14  years.

Mrs. Stroup enjoyed many hobbies such as Knitting, crocheting, cooking, and baking.  She loved being a Homemaker for her family, and a grandmother and "NeNe" to her several grandchildren.

A woman of great faith, Sheila was a member of the Waynesburg Church of the Nazarene.

On May 14, 1983 she married her husband Daniel P. Stroup who survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four children Hannah Baird (Ryan) of Bethel Park, PA; Luke Stroup (Stacy) of McClelland town, PA; Rachel Paris of Elco, PA; and Adam Stroup of Merrittstown, PA;  One stepson Daniel P. Stroup of Rockway, NJ; 16 Grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother William "Buddy" Parks (Debbie) of West Brownsville, PA; numerous special nieces and nephews..

Preceding her in death is a stepson, Raymond Jones.

Friends will be received Tuesday May 21, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. the time of service in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home 2830 Main Street Beallsville, PA with Rev.
