Sevilla "Turk" Adams

Sevilla “Turk” Adams, 97, of Bentleyville, PA passed away on August 14, 2026, in U.P.M.C Mercy Hospital.

Turk was born on December 6, 1928, in Bentleyville, a daughter of the late Rollo and Mary Stringer Ferguson. In 1946, she graduated from the former Bentleyville High School. Throughout her life she held various jobs and positions including Timo’s Shop and Pharmacy, working alongside her late husband for Prudential Insurance, J.C. Penny as a Credit Advisor, and her most recent employment, working as a hostess for the Greenlee Funeral Home’s, where over 25 years, she formed many bonds and friendships that lasted throughout her life. Turk was well known for being a friendly face and always bringing her unique personality along with her.

She enjoyed shopping at yard sales and thrift stores, often collecting things she would never need, but a deal is a deal. Turk was also very proud to say she was a member of the Bentleyville Fireman’s Band for 70 years, which may have accounted for her very hard hearing in her later years.

Surviving are 3 grandchildren Ryan, Zachery, and Josiah Adams; great grandchildren Charlie and Grady Adams; special niece Lynn Dunham (Keith); two former daughters in laws Jennifer Ceneviva and JoAnne Rackley Richardson; several nieces and nephews, along with many friends and distant relatives.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ray Adams Sr.; son’s Jeffrey and Ray Adams Jr.; siblings Zelda Wiggings and Robert Ferguson.

At Turk’s request, there will be no public visitation. Family and friends are asked to arrive at the Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home ,619 Main St. Bentleyville, PA between 10:00 and 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday August 18, 2026, to prepare for a funeral procession to Mon Valley Memorial Park where a Graveside Service will then take place at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Al Poroda officiating and special words by Jerry Blackburn.
