Ruthann Headley, 61 of Lowhill died Friday August 28, 2020 following a five and half year battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born May 3, 1959 in Waynesburg a daughter of the late Albert and Helen Carolis Ricci.

Mrs. Headley was a 1977 graduate of Beth Center High School and a graduate of West Moreland Community College with a degree in nursing.

She started her career as a nurses aid and worked hard to eventually become the Director of Nursing at Golden Living Personal Care Facility in Waynesburg. She had also been employed by Premier Health Care Center in Washington for several years.

Mrs. Headley was of strong Christian faith, compassionate, caring and loved nursing almost as much as her grandchildren. She enjoyed photography and home improvement projects.

On December 16, 1977 she married Charles Headley, Jr. who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Charles Headley III (Deena) of Charleroi, Chad Headley (Christina) of Bethel Park, Richard Headley of Apollo, Pa., one brother, Albert Ricci (Lois) of Jefferson, Pa., two sisters, Donna Fullem of Fredericktown, Mariane Kara (Mark) of Brownsville, Pa., five grandchildren, Charlee, Bexton, Evangeline, Alyssa, and Gulianna; one brother in law, Jody Fleming.

Deceased in addition to her parents is a sister, Diana Fleming, a brother in law, Thomas Fullem and a step father, John McCardle.

Friends will be received from 3-7pm Wednesday in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main St. Beallsville, Pa. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers the suggest contributions be made to a charity of one's choice.
