Russell H. Holleran, 83, of East Bethlehem Township died Thursday, July 14, 2022 in Wheeling Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born October 22, 1938 in Vestaburg, PA, a son of the late James and Mildred (Livingstone) Holleran.

Mr. Holleran was a 1956 graduate of Beth Joint High School and also attended California University of Pennsylvania.  He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.

He had been employed early in his career by Boyle Land and Fuel, Eaton Corporation, and Bendix Corporation.  Later in his career, he worked for and retired from Beth Energy as a Payroll Clerk and Lab Technician at Mines #58, #60, and 84 Complex for many years.

On May 13, 1972 he married Patricia Jennings and together they recently celebrated fifty years of marriage.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer A. Holleran Nusser (Edmund); a sister-in-law, Iris J. Holleran; two nieces, Karen Motichko and Kathy Wasson (Ben Baskin); and two nephews, Dr. James D. Holleran and Dr. David J. Holleran (Cheryl).

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Patricia M. Motichko, and two brothers, James H. Holleran and Robert W. Holleran.  Mr. Holleran was the last of his immediate family.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Monday in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd. 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11AM.  Interment will be in Buckingham Cemetery, Deemston Borough.
