Obituary

Robert D. McCullough, 77 of Centerville, PA passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 in Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born July 18, 1942 in Belle Vernon, PA a son of the late Clarence and Helen Walkush McCullough Sr.

Mr. McCullough was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War serving from 1965 to 1968. He was a long time active member of the Hancock-McCune-Horne Legion Post # 705 Centerville where he served as Past Commander and was an active member of the Post Firing Squad.

Robert was an over the road truck driver retiring with over 20 years of service. He was last employed by Blue Diamond Trucking. He was a long time member of the Teamsters Local # 585.

He enjoyed watching Steeler football.

On February 2, 1974 he married Linda Simon McCullough who died September 1, 2017. They celebrated 45 years of marriage.

Surviving is a son Jeffrey McCullough of Centerville, PA; one brother Clarence McCullough (Sophia) of Houston, PA; a sister Barbara Moorehead (George) of West Newton, PA; a brother in law David Simon (Jamie) of Centerville Borough; several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents and wife are two sisters Linda Kistler and Helen Salisbury; one brother William McCullough.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd. 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA where a Prayer Service will be held Thursday, February 6 at 10:30 am with Rev. Edward Yuhas officiating. Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery Brownsville, PA. Full Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post # 705 and the U. S. Army. The American Legion will do a walk through on Wednesday at 6 PM.
