Robert P. Jenkins
Robert P. (Jenks) Jenkins, 81 of Richeyville, PA died unexpectedly Sunday March 7, 2010 in the Emergency Dept. of Mon Valley Hospital.
He was born September 23, 1928 in Nemacolin, PA a son of the late Leon and Euphemia Murray Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins was a 1946 graduate of Centerville High School and attended California Normal School.
In 1981 he retired from the J&L Mines as an Electrician Forman after 38 years of service.
He was a lifetime member of the Richeyville Community Church and a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
For 20 years he served as the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 406 in Richeyville. His countless hours of service and dedication to scouting left many fond memories for the members of his troop.
Mr. Jenkins was an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed spending time at his camp in Forest County.
On June 2, 1948 he married Marguerite Show Jenkins, who survives. They celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son – Robert "Bob" Jenkins, Jr. (Jan) of Fernandina Beach, FL;Two daughters – Diane M. Yasek (Yush) of Ellsworth, PA and Kelly R. Jenkins of Richeyville, PA; Six grandchildren – Brianne Thomas (Homer), Jon Yasek (Jadyn), Bobby Jenkins (Eileen), Nathan Yasek (his fiancée Ashley Roble) serving with the U.S.Army in Iraq, Brad Yasek, Brett Jenkins; Daughter in law – Beth Jenkins; Seven great grandchildren – Olivia, Dominic and Ava Thomas, Logan Yasek, Dylan, Maddox and Rocco Jenkins; Three brothers – Leon Jenkins (Nettie) of Brownsville (Centerville Boro.), Jack Jenkins (Darlene) of Ivanho, CA and William Laughner of Michigan; Several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents is a brother – Earl Jenkins and a great granddaughter – Kyla Thomas.

Friends will be received from 1 to 9pm Wednesday in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home 2830 Main St Beallsville where services will be held at 11:00am Thursday March 11, 2010 with Pastor Glenn Sanders officiating. Interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery.
