Pete M. "Hammer" Huzor Jr., 76, passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2026 in the Washington Hospital.

He was born on December 11, 1949, in Brownsville, PA, a son of the late Pete M. Sr. and MaryAnn Matyi Huzor.  Pete graduated from the Beth Center High School in 1968.   On September 23, 1972, he married his wife Maryann Frank Huzor who survives.

He was employed as a Field Service Engineer for McGraw Edison/ Pennsylvania Transformer in Canonsburg for over 30 years.  After an extended career he fully retired in 2023.

In his spare time, he had many hobbies including hunting and fishing, canning vegetables from his garden, cooking and was known as an excellent cook.  He also looked forward to Pike Days and cherished his Dachshund Munchkin.  He was catholic by faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife are nephew George Kelly of Richeyville, PA; two cousins Judy Matyi of Cleveland, OH and Robin Poole of Pittsburgh, PA.

Preceding him in death is his sister Shirley Kelly; godson Anthony W. Kime; cousin Kenny Matyi; beloved dogs Dutchess, Skeeter, and Spunky the Cat.

Friends will be received on Thursday February 19, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd. 2830 Main Street Beallsville, PA where a blessing service will be held on Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery.  An online guestbook is available at www.GreenleeFuneralHome.com
