Olive M. "Toots" Nicholas, 81 of California, PA (formerly of Fredericktown) passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 in HCR ManorCare McMurray.

She was born June 23, 1939 in Burgettstown, PA a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret E. Orsin Butler.

In her earlier years she was an active member of the Beth Center PTA.

A homemaker, Olive was also an excellent baker and loved country music, crocheting, crafting and attending church at the Blainesburg Bible Church. Her favorite country stars were John Denver, Charlie Pride and Johnny Cash.

On January 6, 1961 she married John Nicholas who died July 19, 1996.

Surviving is a son John B. Nicholas of California, PA; several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a daughter Helen Nicholas and a brother Walter Butler.

A graveside service will be Friday November 20, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the Westland Cemetery, Brownsville with Pastor Paul Peternel officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Christian Assembly of God Church, 100 Meadow Dr., Bentleyville, PA 15314.
