Obituary

Neil T. Whigham 89, of Bentleyville, PA passed away on Friday November 8, 2024 in the Mon Valley Care Center.

He was born on March 8, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA a son of the late John and Anna Mary Martin Whigham.  Neil was a 1951 graduate of Westinghouse High School in Homewood.  After graduation he was employed by E.L Wiegand Co., working in production for over 29 years.  He also worked for the PA Turnpike Commission and retired in 2000 after 18 years of service.

Mr. Whigham loved the lord, his savior, more than anything and shared that love of the lord with his friends and family.  He was a member of the First Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church, the Lithuanian Club, Polish Club, Independent Club, and the Bentleyville American Legion Post 165.  As well as enjoying his time at various organizations, Neil also enjoyed playing and watching sports.

He is survived by his brother Dale H. Whigham of Gibsonia, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his wife Kathrine (Kay) Whigham; 5 sisters, and 4 brothers from the Pittsburgh area.    Neil will be dearly missed.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the third floor staff and the Care Center and OSPTA Hospice for all of their compassion.

Friends will be received on Tuesday November 12, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home 619 Main St. Bentleyville, PA, 15314 following the visitation a procession will follow to the Monongahela Cemetery where a prayer service will be held in the Chapel with Pastor Cathleen Molinari officiating.   In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the Washington City Mission.   An online guestbook is available at www.GreenleeFuneralHome.com where you may express personal condolences.  .
