Obituary

Nancy L. (Marm) Crumrine of Upper Arlington was born in Washington, Pennsylvania, on October 19, 1945, and passed away on December 17, 2023.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Walter J. Marm Sr. and Dorothy A. Marm, sister Dottie Marm, sister M. Patricia Grable, and her husband, Shirl Grable.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Thomas L. Crumrine, Sr., and their three children. Michele R. Crumrine of Upper Arlington, Thomas L. Crumrine Jr. and his wife Debbie Crumrine of Westerville, and Alison Crumrine Peltcs and husband Bill Peltcs of Hilliard. She is remembered and loved very much by two grandsons, Austin Thomas Crumrine and Thomas L. Crumrine III (Trey), and his wife, Sarah Crumrine, along with five granddaughters. Taylor Layne Crumrine, Talia Lynn Crumrine, Tyra Love Crumrine, Avery Marie Peltcs and Alexis Marie Peltcs. She is also survived by her brother Col. Walter J. Marm Jr. U.S. Army (Retired), sister-in-law Deborah Marm, sister-in-law Dolores (Crumrine) Matosky, and husband Greg Matosky. Nancy has many wonderful cousins, nieces, and nephews, and she loved them, their spouses, and their children dearly.

Nancy was a 1963 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Washington, PA, a 1966 graduate of California State Teachers College in California, PA, and a 1979 Graduate of Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, with a Masters in Education.

Nancy was extremely strong in her Catholic faith and has been a St. Andrew's Church in Upper Arlington member since 1989. She loved to pray the rosary and always felt comfort from the Blessed Mother. Nancy knew and observed every holy day of obligation on the calendar.

Nancy took pride in whatever teaching position she held. She truly loved to help children learn. She enjoyed being a long-term substitute teacher and eventually became a learning disabilities tutor. She worked as an LD tutor for Westerville City Schools and Columbus City Schools before retiring from teaching in 1990.

Nancy was a beautiful person on the inside and out. She had the most generous, kind spirit and loving heart. Her smile could light up a room. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Please hold your loved ones closely this holiday season, as tomorrow is never promised.

Friends will be received Friday, December 22, 2023 from 3 to 7 PM in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA 15313. Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 11 AM in the Scenery Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may contribute in her memory to the American Cancer Society or Nationwide Childrens Hospital.
