Michael C. Bozick, 71, of Marianna, passed away on December 3, 2020 at his home.

He was born on August 16, 1949 in Brownsville, PA, the son of the late Harry and Gloria Thorson Bozick.

Michael was a 1967 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School, and he received a degree in Special Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1971. He also later earned a Master's Degree in Reading from Clarion.

Mr. Bozick taught in the Bethlehem-Center schools for 35 years prior to his 2006 retirement. He coached football for many years for Bethlehem-Center and Ringgold.

Michael had a love for animals, and showed dogs for several years. He was a member of Alpha Gamma Phi fraternity at Clarion University and PSEA, and served on the board of directors for Centerville Clinics, Inc.

On August 13, 2005, he married Amy Carter Bozick, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Pamela Riggenbach of Waynesburg and his brother, Ted Bozick of Richeyville; his nieces and nephews: Thomas (Tionne) Karolewics of Centerville, John (Caren Stewart) Karolewics of Pisgah Forest, NC, Brandy (Joseph Yablonski) Karolewics of Washington, Adam (Angela) Karolewics of Waynesburg, and Tasha (Gavin) Todd of Newport News, VA; his stepsons, Ryan (Narayan Krishnamurthy) Wolfe and Justin Wolfe; and several great nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a nephew, Ted Bozick, Jr. and a brother-in-law, Thomas Karolewics.

As literacy was very important to Michael, the family requests donations to your local public library, or his memory may be honored by a donation to the Washington County Humane Society.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Sunday, August 29 at 1:30 PM in the Richeyville Fire Hall, 14 Firehall Rd, Richeyville, PA 15358.

Michael wore shorts and sandals 12 months of the year, so please dress casually and comfortably, and be prepared to share stories about good times you spent with him. He loved to make people laugh. It will not be a religious service. Instead, it is meant to be a gathering of those of us who loved him - and who he loved - to share happy, funny, and silly memories.
