Melvin "Phillip" Whiting, 65 of Carmichaels, PA passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 in Uniontown Hospital.

He was born April 17, 1959 in Pittsburgh, PA a son of the late Melvin and Beverly Stevenson Whiting.

Catholic by faith, Philly was a person of great devotion.

He enjoyed watching many different Medical Dramas including Grey's Anatomy, which was his favorite. He loved his visits from his brother Rick and talking to and spending time with his family.  He also enjoyed getting out and having a bite to eat.

Surviving are three siblings, Rick Whiting of Rostraver, PA, Mary Alice Colbert of Jacksonville, FL and another sister Sandra Martinez; He also leaves behind his Greene Arc family, including house mates and close friends.

Preceding him in death are two sisters Melva Kennedy, and Sue Jenkins.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd. 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA where Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 11 AM.
