Mary Kathryn Sabo Caston, 78  passed away peacefully on June 8, 2024 at the Gardens at Fair Oaks in Fairfax, Virginia.

She was born January 29, 1946 in Daisytown PA a daughter of  the late John and Kathryn (Brottish) Sabo.

She was employed by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority until her retirement.

Her hobbies included travelling, sewing, and collecting depression glass.

She is survived by son Clay Caston (Janet Athanasiou), sister-in-law Paula (Spitak) Sabo, partner Frank Gniazdowski, his daughter Nina, and granddaughter Gabi.

She is predeceased by brothers John Sabo and Mike Sabo, and sister-in-law Beverly Sabo.

Her family would like to extend thanks to the staff at The Gardens at Fair Oaks for their care.

A Divine Liturgy service will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11 AM at the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Brownsville, PA with Fr. Christopher Burke officiating. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
