Martin "Buck" Sullenberger, 85 of Millsboro, PA passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021in his home.
He was born August 24, 1935 in Bobtown, PA a son of the late Roy and Agnes Sullenberger.
Mr. Sullenberger was a veteran of the Korean War honorably serving from 1952 to 1960 with the U.S. Marine Corp.
Martin was employed as an underground coal miner working in the Maple Creek Mine and Ginger Hill mine as an electrician.
He was a member of the UMWA and the Hanson Cole American Legion Post# 391. He formerly attended the Green Valley Church of God and for many years he taught the gospel in area jails and prisons.
Martin enjoyed hunting and fishing and was very generous in his support of wounded veterans.
On January 1, 1951 he married Mary Brown Sullenberger who died May 11, 2017.
Surviving are his son Duaine M. Sullenberger (Tonya) of Millsboro, PA; three grandchildren, Jordan, Paige and Maverick Sullenberger; his special nephew John Hardy (Debbie) of CO.
Deceased in addition to his parents and wife is a sister Florence Groves.
Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Greenlee's Fredericktown Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment will be in Greene County Memorial Park.
