Dr. Joyce J. Brova, 90 of Scenery Hill, PA passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 in Canonsburg Hospital.

She was born February 28, 1932 in Crescent Heights, PA the daughter of the late Joseph and Ella Nuisada Brova.

Dr. Brova was a 1950 graduate of California Area High School. She earned a Bachelor's and Master's degrees at California University and later earned a Doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh, all in education.

Dr. Brova was employed as a teacher in the Canon McMillan School district for 10 years and in the Bentworth School district for over 20 years where she was also a reading specialist.

She enjoyed flower gardening, cats and was a very skilled card player.

On September 11, 1951 she married Victor V. Brova who died June 6, 2014.

Surviving are two daughters, Jacquelin Brova (Matthew Farrell) of New Hope, PA and Rebecca Crumrine (Clark) of Wheeling, WV; a daughter in law Belinda Brova of Washington, Pa; four grandchildren; one great grandchild.

Deceased in addition to her husband is a son Victor J. "Buddy" Brova.

Friends will be received Thursday from 11 AM to 1 PM in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Washington City Mission, 84 West Wheeling St. Washington, PA 15301 of Angel Ridge Animal Rescue, 390 Old Hickory Ridge Rd. Washington, PA 15301.
