Joseph L Filardi, 81 years old of 838 Ridge Road Brownsville (Centerville Boro), passed away suddenly on June 27 ^th , 2022 while out with his wife, having been in poor health for several years.

Joe was born April 22 ^nd , 1941 to the late Joseph L. Filardi and Elizabeth Amatangelo Filardi and was a 1959 graduate of Monessen High School.

He was married to Linda DeMurry Filardi on May 25, 1990. They had 42 years of love and laughter, and sadness and tears, having met in 1977.

Joe began working at Westmoreland Engineering in 1960 and obtained his Registered Surveyor license in 1976. He worked for several companies throughout his career including U.S. Steel as an underground plant coordinator, and Trumbull Corporation which he left in 1997 due to his health, but continued his own survey business along with his wife doing many surveys and subdivisions.

He enjoyed camping when his health permitted, watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, and was a gun enthusiast, obtaining his FFL license, and he and his wife owned and operated J & L Gunslingers for many years. He was also a member of the Centerville Sportsman's Club.

Surviving besides his wife are his son Joel (Chivonne) Filardi of NC, his daughters Michelle Gribble of Grindstone, Jodi Bruno of Beallsville, and Stacy Bruno of Brownsville. His grandchildren include Natasha Ratica of Richeyville, Kodey Bruno of Washington, Alisha Gribble of Grindstone, Nathan Gribble of Grindstone, Lacey Bruno of Beallsville, Chandler Filardi of NC and a great granddaughter, McKenzie Pappas of Richeyville and a sister Joanne Emery (Ernie) of NC.
