John Henry Staley, 76, of Brownsville, PA passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022 in the Washington Health System.

Mr. Staley was born May 29, 1945 in Brownsville, PA a son of the late Pete, and Georgetta Sowers Staley.

John was a graduate of the California Area High School.

Mr.  Staley was employed with the Grounds Crew at the California University of PA.  In 2005 he retired after twenty five years of service.

John enjoyed working on lawn mowers, lawn tractors, and cars.  He also enjoyed watching old cowboy shows on television.

In 1965 he married Linda Kirk Staley, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter Brenda Pierce (John) of Perryopolis, PA; Son David Staley of Clarksville, PA; Three Brothers Chuck Staley (Elaine) of Ohio, Tony Staley of Georgia, and Leroy Staley (Sandy) of Brownsville, PA.; Two Sisters Marge Gillen of Uniontown, PA, and Darlene Daley of McKeesrocks, PA; One Grandson David Staley; One step daughter Ashley Mccune; One Great Grandson Grayson Cramer; Several Nieces, and Nephews.

Preceding him in death are a brother Sonny Staley; Sister Kate Staley; Daughter in law Lavetta Ann Staley; and Son John Staley.

Friends will be received Monday, April 18, 2022 from 12 noon to 3 P.M the hour of service in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd. 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA.  With Pastor Amory Merriman officiating.  Interment will be private.
