Obituary

John Joseph "Jack" Santo, 80 of Centerville Borough passed away in his home surrounded by his loving wife and friends.  Jack boarded the heavenly train to his final destination to meet his lord and savior on August 5, 2024.

Jack was born on April 7, 1944 in Vestaburg, PA to the late Margaret Prescott Kreamcheck.  He was a 1963 graduate of the Beth Center High School.

On July 31, 1965 he married the love of his life Vickie Dent Santo who survives.  They celebrated 59 years of marital bliss.

After marriage, Jack and Vickie moved to New Jersey to begin their life together.   Jack secured a job with Amtrak- New York Division in 1966 becoming a lineman and eventually working his way to Supervisor.  He retired in 2000, after 34 years of service.

After retiring and moving back to Centerville, he worked part time at the Fredericktown Butcher Shop and then Country Fresh Market.

Mr. Santo was a member of the Blainesburg Bible Church, never missing a Sunday service until his health prohibited him.

Jack loved socializing, and making friends everywhere he went.  He and Vickie often returned to New Jersey to visit family and friends.  He knew all the "girls at Walmart".

He wholeheartedly believed he would one day meet god and be reunited with all of his loved ones.  He cherished the 23rd Psalm and read it often.

Surving in addition to his wife are two children Tammy (Frank) Meade of Middletown, N.J; and John Michael (Chris) Santo of Wexford, PA; Grandchildren Katie and Frankie Meade and Cristal Santo.  Also surviving is a brother Mitch Klein of Ponte Vedre, FL; two cousins Ed "Midge" Kreamcheck and Marie Meeks.

During  his final days Anova Hospice provided Jack with much compassion, and care.  Special friends also attended to him daily.   He was truly loved by all and missed by many, and will live on in the hearts and minds of all.
