John D. Ross, 70 of Scenery Hill, PA passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in Washington Health System Greene.

He was  born April 8, 1953 in Washington, PA a son of the late Frank D. Ross and Betty T. Lonigro Ross who survives.

John was a 1971 graduate of Mon Valley Catholic High School  and earned a bachelor's degree in  child psychology from Penn State University.

John began his working career in  self-employed construction and was later employed with 18 Karat Construction for over 20 years.

Mr. Ross was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish Bentleyville Campus.

An outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing and mushroom picking in his favorite secret spots. He also enjoyed football and hockey.

On June 11, 1977 he married Tami Igou Ross who survives. They celebrated 46 years of marriage.

Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are two daughters, Sarah Black (Harrold) of Bentleyville, PA and Anne Ross of Scenery Hill, PA; two sons, John Ross of Scenery Hill, PA and David Ross of Bentleyville, PA; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Olivia Black; two brothers, Lanny Ross (Chris) of Vero Beach, FL and Frank Ross (LaDonna) of Sinnamahoning, PA; Several Nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 PM in the Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main St. Bentleyville, PA where a Blessing service will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 11 AM with Fr. Dilio Onyejiuwa officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
