John H. Quail, Sr. 83 of Richeyville, PA passed away, Sunday, March 8, 2020 in Mon Valley Care Center.

He was born September 9, 1936 in Vestaburg, PA a son of the late Erwin and Anna Tirpak Quail.

Mr. Quail was a 1954 graduate of California Area High School and served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was employed as an underground coal miner with Treemont Mining Co. Granville, PA.

John enjoyed hunting in his free time.

On October 14, 1961 he married Myrl A. Fidorek Quail who survives. They celebrated 58 years of marriage.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, John H. Quail Jr. (Betty) of Centerville, PA, David Allen Quail (Theresa) of Richeyville, PA, Sherry Lynn Thomas (Chuck) of Centerville, PA and Kimberly Ann Phillips of Scenery Hill, PA; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother Irwin Quail (Marge) of Daisytown, PA; one sister Mary Ann Gee (Jonas) of Daisytown, PA; several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents is one sister Rose Quail and one brother Alex Quail.

Friends will be received Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 1 to 3 PM in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd. 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA. Interment will be private.
