John Joseph Jay III, affectionately known as "JJay," passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2025, at the age of 46 in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania.

JJay was known as an all-around handyman—a man who could fix just about anything and was always willing to learn when he didn't know how. Whether working on a home project or lending a hand to a neighbor, he approached everything with dedication and heart. He loved deeply and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

JJay is survived by his beloved family: his oldest daughter Shaelyn, middle daughter Tayla, youngest son Jayce, and Tara. He was a proud grandfather to Avalynn, Ryco, and Raelynn, who brought him immense joy and whom he loved with all his heart. He is also survived by his mother Candy, his siblings, extended family, and a large circle of friends who loved him dearly. Marrie and her three children also shared a deep bond with JJay and continued to show him great love and support.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Joseph Jay II, and his mother, Darcy.

Though there will be no formal service, a celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends to gather and honor his memory.

JJay's legacy lives on through the lives he touched—his loyalty, warmth, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten.
