John C. Fiem, 67 of Clarksville, PA passed away Friday, November 8, 2019 in Mon Valley Hospital.

He was born November 10, 1951 in Washington, PA a son of Delores Waid Fiem of Washington, PA who survives and the late Louis Fiem.

Mr. Fiem was a 1969 graduate of Trinity High School.

He honorably served in the U. S. Army and U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He received the National Defense Service Medal for his service.

An underground coal miner, Mr. Fiem was employed for 36 years by Beth Energy Corp. at their Livingston Portal. He was a member of the mine rescue team and participated in many mine rescue meets and was a member of the UMWA Local #1197.

He was a member of the Ellsworth Sportsman's Club, the Loyal Order of Moose #1625 Cokeburg and American Legion Post # 175 Washington. He enjoyed fishing, boating, coaching Little League baseball, and was a gun enthusiast and particularly enjoyed his trips to Virginia Beach with his family.

On August 2, 1986 he married Kerry Ann Fiem who survives. They celebrated 33 years of marriage.

Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are two sons, Steven Jacob Fiem of Clarksville, PA and Christopher Fiem of Washington, PA; three brothers Tony Fiem (Diana) of SC, Alan Fiem (Mary Ann) of NC and Russell Fiem of Monongahela, PA; a sister Doreen Burnsworth (Matt) of West Alexander, PA; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home 619 Main St. Bentleyville, PA where Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 7:30 PM in the Funeral Home with Pastor Sheldon Barnett officiating. Interment will be private.
