John A. (Butch) Booze

John A. (Butch) Booze, 73 of Clarksville, PA (East Bethlehem Township) passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 11, 2020 in his home.

He was born November 20, 1947 in Nuernberg, Germany a son of the late Walter "Hooney" and Doreen Sutton Booze Jr.

Mr. Booze was a 1965 graduate of Beth-Center High School and earned a BA Degree from California University of Pennsylvania.

From 1966 to 1970 Butch served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps.

John later became employed as a carpenter at California University of PA, retiring in 2010.

He loved music, especially Doo Wop and all of the Oldies. He also enjoyed singing and working as a DJ.

John was a member of the former St. Michaels Church Fredericktown where he sang in the choir.

On June 7, 1979 he married Marilyn Toney Booze who survives. They celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Pamela Newman (David) of Hagerstown, MD and Shannon Kelly (Charlie) of St. Johns MI; five grandchildren, Michkayla Heard, Cadance Newman, Charlotte, Chase and Connor Kelly; a sister Cindy Giles of Millsboro, PA; two nieces; good friend Lyle and Jimmy Starkey and other cousins.

Deceased in addition to his parents is brother in law Albert Giles.

All funeral services are private and under the direction of the Greenlee's Fredericktown Funeral Home, Ltd. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Fredericktown East Beth V.F.D. PO Box 445 Fredericktown, PA 15333.
