Obituary

Jason S. Tyhonas, 43 of Coal Center, PA died Wednesday April 28, 2021 at his residence,

with his loving family by his side, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

He was born May 4, 1977 in Washington, PA a son of Terry Tyhonas of Bentleyville and the late Linda Carrol and was a 1995 graduate of Beth-Center High School.

Jason was employed by Ten Mile Paving where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and supervisor for over eight years.

Jason was a master diesel mechanic and loved anything with an engine, he enjoyed boating, tractor pulling, hanging out at Charlie and Michaels garage but most of all working on tractors and Ford trucks with his boys. He enjoyed the simple things in life like cutting his grass but his personality, sarcasm and strong work ethic were undeniably infectious, a man who referred to his coworkers as his "extended family"

On April 27, 2002 he married Heather Gech Tyhonas who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Colin and Cole Tyhonas both of Coal Center, a sister, Nicole Tritinek of Washington, two step brothers, David Carrol of Seattle, WA, Derrick Carrol of Perryopolis, PA, a step father, David Carrol (Nancy) of Bentleyville, mother and father in law, John Gech (Louann) of Coal Center, sister in law, Bri Gech (Sean Solomon) of California, PA, and three nieces, Addison and Presley Solomon and Sydney Tritinek.

Deceased in addition to his mother is a niece, Lindsay Tritinek.

Friends will be received from 2-8 PM Monday in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main St. Beallsville where Funeral Services will be Tuesday May 4, 2021 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Harry Hill officiating. Interment will be private. In accordance with Covid-19 guidelines facial coverings and social distancing will be required.
