Janice Bowman, 77 of Canonsburg, PA passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 in the Greenery Center for Rehab & Nursing Canonsburg.

She was born April 14, 1948, a daughter of the late James and Lena Franks Bergamasco.

Janice was a 1966 graduate of Bentworth High School and earned a bachelor's degree in education from California University. She taught first and second grade in the Canon McMillan School district for 40 years, retiring in 2009. She also co-owned and operated Bowman's Greenhouse in Scenery Hill with her husband.

Mrs. Bowman was a member of PSERS.

Her leisure time was spent scrapbooking, cooking and shopping. She also enjoyed planning parties and Christmas decorating.

Surviving are two children, Alan Bowman Jr. and Todd Bowman, both of Canonsburg, PA along with several other family members.

Deceased are her husband Alan Bowman Sr. who died May 17, 2005 and a brother who died in infancy.

Friends will be received Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 3 to 7 PM in the Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main St. Bentleyville, PA. Interment will be private in Scenery Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Make A Wish Foundation.
