James W. Lacey, 82, of Brownsville, PA (Centerville Boro) passed away on Tuesday June 2, 2026, in Havencrest Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

On September 13, 1943, he was born in Centerville, a son of the late Leroy C. and Bertha Shook Lacey.  Jim was employed by Quinet Monument in Bentleyville, PA where he sand blasted, and set foundations for many years before retiring.

He was very active in the National Pike Steam, Gas, and Horse association.  Gardening and working on tractors were hobbies he enjoyed.

Surviving are brothers Raymond Lacey, Melvin Lacey (Alice), Richard Lacey (Mary Ann), Bill Lacey (Anna Marie), Donald Lacey (Cindy), Thomas Lacey, and one sister Debra Lacey Pettit (Don); numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are two sisters Ruth Danko, and Peggy Bailey; and two brothers Clifford and Gerald Lacey.

Family and friends will be received on Friday June 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd. 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA.  Interment will be held privately and take place in the Taylor Cemetery.  An online guestbook is available at www.GreenleeFuneralHome.com
