James Hamilton Kistler Jr., 72 of Coal Center, PA passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

He was born March 26, 1952 in Clover Hill, PA a son of the late James and Emma Lucinda Ames Kistler Sr.

James was a 1970 graduate of California Area High School and earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State.

Mr. Kistler was employed with U.S. Steel Edgar-Thompson Works and Clairton Works with over 20 years of service retiring in 2021.

He was a member of Teutonia Mannerchor Pittsburgh and the United Steel Workers.

Jim was a man of many interests. He was a model train enthusiast, both collecting trains and building displays. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, flower gardening and history. He also enjoyed college sports including NCAA basketball (Duke) and especially Penn State football.

Surviving are his significant other Donna Gojsovich Belda of Brentwood, PA; step children, J. David Henderson (Debbie) of Zelienople, PA, Mike Henderson (Cheryl), Bill Henderson (Gina) and Patty Schweitzer (Bill) all of Bridgeville, PA; brother in law John Vincenti of Clover Hill, PA; fourteen step grandchildren; fourteen step great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his wife Patricia Henderson Kistler who passed away in 2010; one sister Diana Lynn Vincenti; one niece Luncinda Vincenti.

Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 5 PM in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main St., Beallsville, PA where funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2025 at 11 AM with Pastor John Dykstra officiating.
