Irene D. (Doe) Orris Faieta of Fredericktown, PA, passed away, Monday, April 29, 2024, with her family by her side.  Irene was born on December 11, 1930, in Luzerne Twp, PA, daughter of the late Alex Orris and Verna (Markovich) Chimeleski.  Irene graduated from Centerville High School, Class of 1949.

On September 28, 1951, she married the love of her life Bill (Goulash) Faieta, with whom she shared 46 wonderful and eventful years of marriage.

Irene loved to socialize, dance, sing and laugh. She relished her career as waitress at different establishments throughout the years including Nicky's Steakhouse, Nemacolin Country Club and Faieta's Bar.

Irene enjoyed a variety of activities; she liked shopping, going out to eat with the family, arts and crafts, and crocheting. Irene was happiest when baking and cooking and sharing her delicious tasting cuisine with everyone. She loved spending Holiday dinners with her family and friends; and above all, she was most proud and loved and adored her grandchildren.

Irene is survived by her two children, Randy (Fly) (Nancy) Faieta of Rices Landing, PA.    Anita (Tim) Holt of Fayette City, PA.  Four grandchildren, Timmy Holt of Fredericktown, PA, Kristen (CJ) Mason of Dilliner, PA.   Tyler (Stephanie) Holt of Lawrence, PA.  Brandon (Shayleigh) Faieta of Suwanee, GA.   Two great grandchildren, Will and Bria Mason and several nieces and nephews.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Faieta, her parents, a sister, Liz Sharratt, two brothers, Alex Orris and Mike Orris.

A special note of gratitude and thanks to Jennie's Personal Care Home and OSPTA Hospice for their wonderful care, kindness, and compassion. Irene will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by her family.

Private graveside service are under the direction of  Greenlee's Fredericktown Funeral Home, Ltd., 42 Bank St. Fredericktown, PA.
