Helen C. Prekup 89 of Vestaburg, PA, passed away Monday, November, 1, 2021 in Monongahela Valley Hospital.

She was born April, 8, 1932 in Fairmont West Virginia.  A daughter of the late Charles, and Agnes Lock Takash.

Mrs. Prekup was a graduate of Centerville High School.

She was previously employed as an assembler for the RCA plant in Meadow Lands, later known as Tac Tek, she also worked as a cashier at Bonton in Washington, and later worked at Adams Personal Care Home.

Helen was a lifelong member of the St. Katherine Drexel Parish.

Mrs. Prekup enjoyed her time in the summer tending to her garden, along with her love of reading, as well as her love for her pet cats.  Helen also enjoyed aerobics into her 70's.

On September, 4, 1954 she married David Prekup who passed away September, 24, 2012.  They celebrated 58 years of marriage.

Deceased in addition to her husband, are her parents along with a sister Dolores Cole.

Left to cherish her memory is a son David Allen Prekup, of Vestaburg, PA.  A brother Patrick Takach (Margaret) of Vestaburg, along with several Nieces, and Nephews.

Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Greenlee's Fredericktown Funeral Home 42 Bank Street at Crawford Rd. Fredericktown PA.  Where prayers will be held Saturday November, 13, 2021 at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Katherine Drexel Richeyville Campus at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Edward Yuhas officiating.  Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park.
