Gary D. Chapman, 75 of Fredericktown, PA passed away Friday, December 27, 2024 in his home.

He was born January 25, 1949 in Waynesburg, PA a son of the late Albert E. Chapman and Dorothy Jean Keifer Chapman of Fredericktown, PA who survives.

Gary was a 1967 graduate of Beth Center High School and earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at ITT Pittsburgh.

Mr. Chapman was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1968 to 1971. For his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/60 Device, Army Commendation Medal, Vitnam Campaign Medal w/2 stars and the Good Conduct Medal.

Gary was employed at Bethlehem Mines, mine #60 for 18 ½ years, E.C. & S. Burgettstown electronic field service for 10 years and at U.S. Steel Irwin Works for 10 years from where he retired in 2011.

His leisure time was spent fishing, snow skiing, playing racquetball and motorcycling.

On January 7, 1970 he married Leanna Reynolds Chapman who survives.

Also surviving is a son Gary L. Chapman of Nemacolin, PA.

Deceased is a sister Betty Jean Chapman.

Funeral arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the Greenlee's Fredericktown Funeral Home, Ltd. 42 Bank St. Fredericktown, PA.
