Frank P. Vlanich, 75 of Bentleyville (Somerset Twp.) died unexpectedly Friday December 17, 2021 in the Canonsburg Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born March 9, 1946 in Bentleyville a son of the late Frank and Miranda Vespi Vlanich.

Frank was a 1964 graduate of Bentleyville-Ellsworth High School and a graduate of Point Park University.

He had been employed as a computer aided draftsman for R.T. Patterson in Pittsburgh for over 40 years from where he retired. Following his retirement he started part time with the Greenlee Funeral Homes of Bentleyville, Beallsville and Fredericktown where he quickly became regarded by his co-workers as family.

Frank always had a warm smile and a quiet and gentle demeanor and was always eager to help anyone in need, whether it be at work helping grieving families or friends, neighbors and even strangers, he simple would not say no.

He enjoyed gardening, was an avid deer hunter and a Mopar automobile enthusiast and every year like clockwork he would travel to the Mopar Nationals in Columbus Ohio where he would join his friends in watching the drag races and talk cars.

Frank will always be remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends.

On September 9, 1972 he married Debra Pompei Vlanich who survives, together they celebrated 49 years of marriage.

Also surviving is one brother, Ron Vlanich (Betty) of Fallowfield Twp., two nieces and one nephew.

In accordance to his wishes all funeral services were private. Interment was in the Monongahela Cemetery. All funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main St., Bentleyville.
