Frances C. Pitzer, 93, of Scenery Hill, PA (formerly of Daisytown) passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, in her home.

She was born in Ellsworth, PA on November 6, 1932, a daughter of the late Glen and Muriel Wilson Baker.

A homemaker for most of her life, Frances was also a waitress and cook for both the Nemacolin Country Club and Giant Eagle in Bentleyville.

Mrs. Pitzer had many hobbies including gardening and being involved with family functions and especially loved her children and grandchildren.  She also enjoyed traveling on several mission group trips to Africa, Israel and Scotland.

A woman of faith, Frances was a lifelong member of the Beallsville United Methodist Church where she was a former secretary and member of the United Methodist Women.  She also started the first Acolyte Group in the church along with her sister Faye.

Surviving are children Robert D. Pitzer (Terri), Mona Smith (George), Ronald Pitzer (Cheryl) and Glen Pitzer (Lois); 10 loving grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her husband Robert "Bob" Pitzer who passed away on March 21, 2015; grandson Georgie Scott Smith; siblings Charles, Lawrence "Chubb", Glen D., William and Clyde Baker, Beatrice Grable, Beryl Lobb, and Faye Harr.

In lieu of flowers Frances would like contributions be made to the Beallsville United Methodist Church.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday June 24, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd. 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA.  Where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brian Carroll officiating.  Interment will follow in the Beallsville Cemetery.  An online guestbook is available at www.GreenleeFuneralHome.com
