Elvera M. Ursic, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 28, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in Cokeburg on March 14, 1933, Elvera lived a life full of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

She is survived by her only son, William Ursic (Joyce) of Scenery Hill, and her three beloved grandchildren, Jaime Ursic (Jason Williams), William Ursic III, and Benjamin Ursic. She is also survived by her youngest brother, Ed Cursi (Flora),and sister-in-law, Betty Cursi, both of Washington; brother-in-law, John Desensi of Fredericktown; and the families of her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Cursi and Elsie Dellasando Cursi; her brothers, Nick, Albert (Ada), Eugene (Connie), and John (Betty); and her sister, Bernadette Desensi.

Elvera dedicated over twenty years to delivering Meals on Wheels at Center in the Woods, demonstrating her lifelong commitment to helping others. She retired from RockTenn, an American paper and packaging manufacturer in Charleroi, and remained an active member of the Charleroi Senior Center. An avid traveler, she enjoyed trips across the United States, Italy, and France. She found joy in playing cards, bingo, dartball, and bowling, while also embracing her love of cooking and baking, crocheting, and entertaining.

A devoted animal lover, Elvera leaves behind her beloved cat, Penny, and actively supported the Humane Society of Washington County, Wreaths for Vets, Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging, and other charitable causes.

In her final days, the staff of Amedisys ensured her comfort at home, and for this, the family is eternally grateful.

Elvera's life was defined by her love for family, her strong spirit, and the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her. Her warmth, generosity, and radiant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to a charity of choice.
