Elsie "Toots" Haught, 93, of Eighty Four, passed away August 22 , 2023, at Hawthorne Woods, Washington under the loving care of Gateway Hospice.

She was born April 27, 1930 in Washington, the daughter of the late Charles "Chuck" and Nellie Crawford Ritter.

She was a 1948 graduate of Trinity High School. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Canonsburg.

Elsie married Raymond Haught Jr. on August 22, 1948; she went to rejoin him on what would have been their 75th wedding anniversary.

She is survived by six children, Diana (Jim) Hull of Washington, PA, Randy (Patty) Haught of Warrior, AL, Karren (David) Underwood of Roanoke, VA, Nellie Jo Habibi (Farhad) of Ashburn, VA, Grant Haught of Fort Gay, WV, and Thomas (Stacey)  Haught of Venetia, PA; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and her sisters, Dorothy "Nink" Visnich of Washington, PA and Charlotte Thompson of Eighty Four, PA.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Haught Jr, her granddaughter Becky Hull, her sister Helen "Bun" Sieders, and her sisters-in-law Shirley Heckendorn, Ruth Weinberg, and Betty Lou Haught Morris.

In 2003, at the age of 73, Elsie and her daughters Diana, Karren, and Jo participated in the Colon Cancer 40 Mile 2 Day Walk from Leesburg, VA to Washington, DC, to honor her husband.  She was an avid baker, a talented seamstress, a committed Watkins dealer, and a strong bowler with a senior bowling league at the Route 19 Bowling Alley.

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 7 PM on Thursday, August 24, 2023, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd. 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA, where funeral services will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 1 PM with Pastor Fran Skariot officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens, 3739 Washington Road, Canonsburg, PA.
