Edward James Deems, 62 of California, PA passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023 in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital.

He was born February 13, 1961 in Monongahela, PA a son of the late Robert Deems and Ruth Lancaster Deems of Bentleyville, PA who survives.

Edward was a 1979 graduate of Beth Center High School.

He was employed as a mechanic with Don Gilli's Garage for several years.

Edward was a member of the Italo-American Citizens Club in California, PA where he enjoyed spending time with his friends. He loved his cats CeCe and BeBe.

Surviving is his son Edward Deems Jr. (Melissa) of Washington, PA; a grandson Sean Joseph Deems; three sisters Deborah Hartley (James) of Vestaburg, PA, Sara Skariot (Thomas) of Somerset, KY, and Jean Durila (Richard) of Ellsworth, PA; several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is his life-partner Carol Puskarich.

Arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main St. Bentleyville, PA 15314. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Funeral Home.
