Doris Dishong, 98 of Brownsville, PA (Centerville Borough) passed away Tuesday,

November 15, 2022 in The Residence at Hilltop.

She was born July 20, 1924 in Somerset, PA a daughter of the late Ralph and Lucille Bowbly Watkins.

Mrs. Dishong was a 1943 graduate of Ebensburg Cambria High School.

She was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church on California, PA.

A homemaker, Doris enjoyed reading, Bridge Club and spending time with family and friends. She also was involved with a painting group at Center In the Woods and a women's group at California State College.

On January 18, 1942 she married Berlie Dishong Sr. who died May 17, 2011.

Surviving are a of son Berlie Dishong Jr. (Deborah) of Nazareth, PA; five grandchildren, Brian Dishong (Jennie) of Nazareth, PA, Eric Dishong (Linda) of Leesburg, AL, Kevin Dishong (Melissa) of Bath, PA, Shanna Geistwite (Aaron) of Camp Hill, PA and Devon Dishong of New York; four great grandchildren, Drew  Dishong and Haley Dishong and Elia and Caleb Geistwite; two sisters, Joyce McCall (Jeff) of Summerhill, PA and Faye Holben of Clarion, PA; many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a son Richard W. Dishong and a sister Grace Howell.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 10 AM in the First Presbyterian Church in California, PA. The family suggests Memorial Contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 303 4 ^th St. California, PA 15419 or the Richard Dishong Scholarship Fund c/o California University of PA.
