Dora Idella McManus Polan, 88 of Oil City, PA (Formerly of Glenshaw, PA) passed away Thursday May 8, 2025 in the Meadville Medical Center.

Dora was born on May 8, 1937 in Beallsville, PA a daughter of the late Raymond and Mrytle Kirk McManus.  She graduated from Beth Center High School and went on to achieve her business degree at Penn Commercial in Washington.

She was a continuity writer and secretary who went to the church of the Nazarene and married William S. Polan on June 22, 1962.  She enjoyed traveling, playing the piano, and dancing, which brought her immense joy.

She leaves behind four children, Pam Michael (Charles), Deborah Polan, William R. Polan, Kirk Polan; four grandchildren, Katrina M. Hoff, Augustus J. Hoff, Hannah Polan and Jacob Polan; two sisters Joetta Niemeyer (Thomas) and Rayma Helman (Tom).

Preceding her in death in addition to her husband are two brothers Richard and Jay McManus.

Friends will be received on Tuesday May 13, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd. 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Sheldon Barnette officiating.  Interment will follow in the Beallsville Cemetery.  An online guestbook is available at www.GreenleeFuneralHome.com.
