Dolores Montgomery, 88 of Waynesburg, PA (formerly of Clarksville, PA) passed away on Monday,  June 2, 2025 in the Rolling Meadows Rehab and Nursing Facility.

She was born on April 3, 1937 in Lagonda, PA a daughter of the late Herbert and Frances Huffman Hazlett.  In 1955 she graduated from the Ellsworth High School and later attended the Greene County Vocational Technical School for Nursing.

Dolores was employed by the Waynesburg Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired after 20 years of service.

She enjoyed reading, gardening, playing bingo, cards (especially wild gin), and doing Jigsaw puzzles.  Dolores was also proud to be a volunteer at the Vestaburg Senior center where she delivered Meals on Wheels for over 15 years.  Mrs. Montgomery was a long time member of the East Beth Baptist church.

On December 19, 1994 she married the late Charles Montgomery, who passed away on November 7, 2002.

She leaves behind five children Danny Harbaugh (Sandy); Betty Harbaugh; April Masciarelli all of Fredericktown, PA; Katy Kozak of Walterboro, SC; and Elliot Harbaugh also of Fredericktown; Stepchildren Betty Teegarden of Westerville, OH  and Tom Montgomery of Carmichaels, PA; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; four siblings, Cordelia Whitley of Orlando, FL, Bessie Rockenhauser of Messa, AZ, Melvin Hazlett of Claysville, PA and Deborah Chappel of Washington, PA; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death in addition to her husband are her daughter Valerie Parsons, grandson Ricky Linton, and brother Herbert Hazlett.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday June 7, 2025 in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd.  2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA.  A brief Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 with Pastor George Lammay officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Beth Center Senior Center, 316 Station St. Vestaburg, PA 15368.
