Delores "Dee" Grimes, 91 of Vestaburg, PA passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025 in her home.

She was born October 24, 1933 in California, PA a daughter of the late George and Frances Sholtis Pordash.

Dee was a 1950 graduate of California Area High School and a graduate of Uniontown Beauty Academy.

She was a self-employed beautician in Candeva's Salon Vestaburg for many years.

Mrs. Grimes was a lifelong and active member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, a member of the Christian Mothers, a CCD teacher, a member of the Beth Center Senior Citizens and Vestaburg Community Association.

Arts and crafts, sewing, crocheting, gardening and yardwork were among her many hobbies. She loved bowling in different area leagues, the Steelers and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are three children, Larry Grimes (Toni Stoyanoff) of Carmichaels, PA, Patrick Grimes (Paula), and Valerie Orlandi (Big Tony) both of Vestaburg, PA; eleven grandchildren, Daysha Tina, Cameron, Michael, Jacky, Sara, Candace (her caregiver with whom she made her home), Little Tony, David, Jennifer and Michelle; eight grandchildren, A.J. Luke, Joel, Jocelyn, Grayson, Rylan, Kalani and Ashton; several nieces and nephews. Dee was last of her immediate family.

Deceased are her husband, Andrew Grimes; two sons, Richard and David Grimes; four sisters, Eleanor Timlin, Geraldine Platter, Carol Beatty, and Marion Shelling.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 6 PM in the Greenlee's Fredericktown Funeral Home, Ltd. 42 Bank St. at Crawford Rd. Fredericktown, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 10:30 AM in the St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Richeyville Campus with Rev. Michael Zavage officiating. Interment will be private and in Fredericktown Cemetery.
