David A. Saniga, 72, of Cokeburg, PA passed away on April 6, 2025 surrounded by his family in the Peters Township Post Acute Nursing Home after a recent battle with pneumonia.

David was born on June 21, 1952 in New Eagle, PA a son of the late Edward and Helen Kopcrak Saniga.  He was a 1970 graduate of the Bentworth High School.  He obtained his undergraduate at the Washington and Jefferson College and his Master's Degree from the Duquesne University.

His intelligence was no secret, and he was employed as the Dry Grocery Department Manager of the Washington Walmart and retired in 2014 after 22 years of service.

He was a lifelong member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish Bentelyville Campus, enjoyed reading and staying busy outdoors with his garden and yard work.  His happy place was relaxing on his back deck in the presence of family.  David also had a love for Chevrolet vehicles and passed that love on to his daughter.

On June 8, 1985 he married his wife Mary E. Rodacay Saniga who survives.  They celebrated 39 years of marriage.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter Courtney Sullivan (Sean) of Mars, PA; his grand-dog Blue and Grand-Cat Peach; one sister Margaret Sharek (Ed) of Westland, PA; Many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, all Funeral Arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home 619 Main St. Bentleyville, PA.  Interment will be held in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.  In lieu of any flowers the family suggests donations be made to the either the St. Jude research hospital, the ASPCA, or the American Stroke Association.  An online guestbook is available at www.GreenleeFuneralHome.com
