David K. Lingis, 74 of Vestaburg, PA died unexpectedly yet peacefully in his home on Monday, July 28th 2025.
He was born November 10, 1950, a son of the late Anthony and Genevieve (Funk) Lingis.
David was a 1969 graduate of Beth Center High School.
Mr. Lingis was employed as an underground coal miner at Vesta#5 J & L Steel retiring with 22 years of service. He was then employed for an additional 22 years at United Airlines as a field mechanic working at San Francisco International, Chicago O'Hare and Baltimore International airports.
Dave was a member of the UMWA, F&AM Lodge 337 Monongahela and was a 32 degree Mason belonging to the Valley of Pittsburgh, a member of the Brownsville Sportsman's Club, West Brownsville American Legion, California Gun Club, Young Men's Club, Fredericktown American Legion, and the Owls Club.
His interests included boating, supporting local charities, and spending time with family and friends ready at a moments notice to help and take care of any task needed. He was very sociable and never a stranger to anyone for long.
On July 10, 1971 he married Carol (Baron) Lingis formerly of Uniontown, PA who survives. Also surviving are two loving sons, David A. Lingis (Kristen) and their daughters Haylee and Emily Lingis; Michael E. Lingis (Kady) and their children Addison and Carter Lingis.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Greenlee's Fredericktown Funeral Home, Ltd. 42 Bank St. Fredericktown, PA.
