Dave Young, 61, of Eighty Four, PA passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, in Shadyside Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born October 2, 1962, the son of the late David William Young and Bonnie Salamone Williams.

He attended Canyon Del Oro High School in Arizona where he excelled in wrestling.

Dave leaves behind his wife of over 19 years, Rhonda Young of Eighty Four, PA. He leaves behind his children, Taylor Young of AZ, Courtney Howell (Joey) of Salem, IN, Kevin Young (Kimberly) of Salem, IN, and Brittany Briggs of Tucson, AZ. as well as stepchildren Danielle Anderson (Bryan) of Cokeburg, PA, and Sam Lapcevic of Eighty Four, PA. Dave leaves behind 11 grandchildren.

A great way to describe Dave was always so full of life. He saw the light in every corner of darkness and was positive of everything and every person. He was a true craftsman in every sense. He built numerous houses from the ground up. There was nothing in this world that was considered broken because surely, he could fix it. No challenge was ever too big. Every day was a fun filled adventure that he was excited to tackle. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it. Dave was an avid outdoorsman who adored hunting. There was nothing he loved more in his life than his family. You would often find him in the stands of numerous sporting events rooting on his family as their biggest supporter.

In addition to his children, Dave is survived by his brother Keith Young of Tucson, Arizona. Dave is survived by aunts and uncles, as well as numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Lillian Young, Joe and Helen Salamone, and his stepson Jacob Lapcevic.

Family and friends will be welcomed from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main St, Bentleyville, PA, 15314. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. with Pastor David Hall officiating followed by a reception at the Scenery Hill Community Church.
